Earlier today, Dixie Carter alerted the fans on her Twitter account that Vince Russo is no longer working with iMPACT Wrestling. At one-time, Russo was the head writer of the show, though he has not held that position in many months. Recently, he has served as a member of the creative committee headed up by Bruce Prichard. Here are the exact tweets posted on Carter’s account earlier today:

TNA and Vince Russo have mutually parted ways as of this week. The separation is amicable and professional.

We are glad for the opportunity to have worked together and wish each other nothing but good luck and success in the future.

If there is any more news to report on this story, we’ll post it here for our readers. However, this is not really as groundbreaking a story as some folks would like for it to be since Russo hasn’t been the head writer in the last four or five months.
