As our regular readers know I attended TNA Wrestling’s Lockdown PPV event in Cincinnati, Ohio at the US Bank Arena. I received the regular post-show email from TicketMaster asking for a show review and decided to check out what others attending thought.
These reviews hopefully will give a little insight into the live fan experience as these are written by people that actually watched the show, rather than “phantom fan” reviews regularly posted by the major dirt sheets and cut and pasted across the interweb. As of today the average review is 4.6 out of 5 stars.
Here is a sampling of the comments:
Best Wrestling Show In A Long Time 5 stars

This was by far the best wrestling show I have seen in Cincinnati in a long time. TNA really knows how to put on a live show. If you’ve watched iMPACT! on TV and didn’t think you like the product don’t be fooled by the canned Orlando shows, the live arena shows are awesome. Much better than WWE live.
tna shows they are the best!! 5 stars

TNA Lockdown showed once again that great action far outweighs the childish games that the WWE tries to pass as entertainment. Great matches, great action and amazing finishes made the whole experience well worth the money. My son will never forget his trip to Lockdown nor will I.
Favorite moment: Kurt Angle moonsault showed he is willing to risk serious injury to give the fans great memories. A truly amazing moment.

TNA’s Lockdown PPV was an awesome live event. The crowd was great and the majority of the matches were great. This is the third TNA event I have been to. So far they are three for three on my satisfaction rating. They have yet to disappoint.

This is why TNA is gonna surpass WWE in the future. Some low moments and parts that you just couldn’t believe but that’s wrestling. I haven’t had so much fun at any wrestling event before. I just really wish they would bring back the 6 sided ring so they can stand apart from WWE even more. Blood, weapons, upsets and victories. TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA! TNA!
TNA was AWESOME!

TNA has done it again! this was an awesome show. from the first to the last match was Total Non Stop Action. The only draw back to the whole show was the Knockouts match. The match itself was great for less than a minute but was hoping to see more of the woman wrestle. The match was about 1 minute in length literally. If Mickie James shoulder is truely injured I can see it. TNA has the best women’s division bar none. They need at least 2 women’s matches per show, event. ON the air and the house shows. This was the only thing lacking. The rehash of all the events leading to the individual matches got old but that seems to be par for the course on any pay-per view. 1 big surprise to me was the lack of attendance. The U.S Bank arena was about 1/3 empty(Editors note, this was my take on the crowd size as well 1/2 to a 1/3 capacity which really blows the lowball dirt sheet estimates as this is a 17,000 seat arena), no kidding. The fans that were there hollered, cheered and booed enough to make up for it. TNA works harder for it’s fans than any other.
Favorite moment: Mickie winning the Knockouts Championship, & Lethal lock down match
You can check out the reviews at the link above as well as the few negative experiences. The reviews typically capture what I saw in person, a crowd that was loud and excited by a top notch wrestling event. Too bad WrestleMania wasn’t this exciting.
