According to James Caldwell of the Pro Wrestling Torch, last night’s episode of iMPACT! averaged about 1,215,000 viewers which is down from last week’s average of 1,276,000 viewers. The folks at TNA have got to be pleased with this information since iMPACT! went head-to-head with Game 7 of the NBA Finals. No matter where your basketball allegiances lie, a Los Angeles Lakers vs. Boston Celtics Game 7 in the NBA Finals is a major event in the basketball world!

In addition to the last game of the NBA Finals, iMPACT!’s 9:00pm EST hour aired head-to-head against WWE Superstars on WGN. There is no viewership information available for Superstars yet, but I expect that it’ll be released within the next few days.

Each week in this spot I use last week’s viewership numbers to project a rating for the current week’s episode of iMPACT!. Please note that this is an extremely inexact science since the number of people watching cable television changes on a daily basis and thus the cable rating system changes on a daily basis. However, if we use last week’s final rating as a base and the week-to-week comparable data doesn’t change, then that means this week’s episode of iMPACT! scored a 0.95 rating.
