TNA House Show Results (5/21): Lake Charles, LA

First of all, the crowd was super-hot all night. I’ve been to TNA, WWE, and WCW events in the past, and this crowd was the best of them all.

Estimated 1200-1500 attendance.

Quick Results:

1. Douglas Williams (X-Division champion) retains vs. Kazarian with the roll-through German suplex. Note: Lots of anti-Williams “USA” chants.

2. Madison Rayne (Knockouts Champion) retains vs. Hamada with a roll-through following a cross-body block by Hamada.

3. Samoa Joe d. Desmond Wolfe with the Muscle Buster.

4. Kurt Angle d. Mr. Anderson with the Angle Slam. Good pop for Anderson, crowd went crazy when he asked if there were any “Anderson assholes” in the building. There were both Angle and Anderson chants throughout the match. Also, Anderson’s mouth was busted open during the contest.

5. Beer Money d. Motor City Machine Guns.

6. Rob Van Dam (TNA World Champ) retains vs. Booker T. Before the match, it was announced that AJ Styles flight was delayed, so Booker T. came out to challenge RVD, receiving a huge pop. Plenty of “RVD” chants throughout.

Notes:

Biggest Pops:

1. Rob Van Dam
2. Booker T. (when announced as AJ’s replacement)
3. Kurt Angle
4. Beer Money (prior to cutting a heel promo)
5. Samoa Joe
6. “Slick” Johnson (he’s originally from Lake Charles)

Most Heat:

1. Douglas Williams (the “USA” chants were very loud throughout his match)
2. Beer Money (following the heel promo)
3. Booker T. (huge pop at first, but much heat following a heel promo)
4. Desmond Wolfe
5. AJ Styles’ flight being delayed.

After the show, RVD took pictures in the ring. Also, Hamada, Samoa Joe, Jeremy Borash, and Mr. Anderson took pictures and signed autographs at ringside. During the show Kurt Angle, Madison Rayne, Kazarian, and Jeff Jarrett signed programs.

Overall, a very fun show, an excellent crowd, and the talent went out of their way after the show to please the fans.
