Predictions for Tonight’s TNA Sacrifice Pay-Per-View
Added on Sunday, May 16th, 2010 at 2:30 am to Opinion Columns by Joe Vincent

Welcome, everyone! Tonight, TNA Wrestling brings us its sixth annual Sacrifice pay-per-view live from the iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. With nine big matches signed, this event should be great!

TNAStars.com strives to bring you the best TNA content on the internet and we hope that you enjoy the latest serving of our staff roundtables. This month, scroll down to read the staff and TBLWrestling.com webmaster Eddie’s TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view predictions!

Lockdown 2010 4 – 5 4 – 5 4 – 5 n/a 3-Way Tie!
Overall Winning Percentage 44.44% 44.44% 44.44% n/a 3-Way Tie!

TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Rob Van Dam vs. AJ Styles

Adam’s Thoughts: This match is an internet dream match. It really could have had more build up but should still be great.
Adam’s Prediction: RVD wins leaving room for a longer program with Styles.

Chad’s Thoughts: I am actually looking forward to the one-on-one rematch for the TNA Title, two great superstars.
Chad’s Prediction: I gotta give this one to RVD!

Joe’s Thoughts: The match these two had on iMPACT! was phenomenal so I expect this one to tear down the house.
Joe’s Prediction: Rob Van Dam

Eddie’s Thoughts: This should be an awesome match. I’m glad to see these two battle over the TNA Championship and I hope the company recognizes they should be the center of attention when it comes to a future direction for TNA. Their previous bout was tremendous, and this one should be too. I hope they get at least 30 minutes and that RVD is in top shape by now. It wouldn’t make sense to take the title off RVD so early. The company’s direction should be to make the title and certain stars mean a lot so that they can build around them. RVD is one of those people.
Eddie’s Prediction: Rob Van Dam

TNA Tag Team Championship
Ink, Inc. Vs. The Band

Adam’s Thoughts: At least there is a tag team divison right? The Band needs a push for ratings.
Adam’s Prediction: The Band goes over and stays together for a long time.

Chad’s Thoughts: As much as I think Ink, inc. deserves a push (Shannon Moore Rocks), The Band won’t give up without a fight.
Chad’s Prediction: The Band by DQ

Joe’s Thoughts: While I’m not a big fan of Jesse Neal (what’s his deal, anyway?), I’m a huge Shannon Moore and the Book of D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. That said, The Band is going to win this one, hands down.
Joe’s Prediction: The Band

Eddie’s Thoughts: The Band’s participation in TNA has been rather pointless for me. The idea when Hulk Hogan came in was for a total turn-around, and not for the same old story to be sung. The Band adds too much of a WCW feel to the show, and it just doesn’t fit in with the right direction for TNA – which is to be the alternative to WWE.
Eddie’s Prediction: The Band

TNA Global Championship
Orlando Jordan vs. Rob Terry

Adam’s Thoughts: Goldust is one thing but OJ is another. Controversial no…gross.
Adam’s Prediction: OJ goes over because TNA needs to give him somthing for a push.

Chad’s Thoughts: I am very interested in what Orlando might due next, a little creeped out by it, but still interested!
Chad’s Prediction: Orlando Jordan via Pin

Joe’s Thoughts: I’m a little spooked by the whole Orlando Jordan “wild card” gimmick. It’s not that he’s bisexual or a weirdo or anything like that, it’s just odd to see that on a professional wrestling show. On the other hand, Rob Terry really is a “freak” thanks to muscles in places where most people don’t even have “places!”
Joe’s Prediction: I’m a fan of “The Freak” Rob Terry, so he gets my vote

Eddie’s Thoughts: Orlando Jordan’s controversial story seemed to go nowhere, and maybe it’s for the best. Experience shows things like that never lead to anything positive. I am not quite sure what to make of Mr. Muscle, aka, Rob Terry. Jordan is probably the company’s choice, but I have no idea if either man is all that important overall.
Eddie’s Prediction: Orlando Jordan

TNA X-Division Championship
Kazarian vs. Douglas Williams

Adam’s Thoughts: Why doesn’t Doug Williams have a push for the Global title? For an X division match this bores me.
Adam’s Prediction: Kaz goes over.

Chad’s Thoughts: I like Kaz and I wish I would have had a chance to see more of this feud.
Chad’s Prediction: Kaz for the big V.

Joe’s Thoughts: Am I the only one who seems to miss Kaz’s appearances each week on iMPACT!? Does he make appearances? This whole feud is a bit lackluster for my tastes.
Joe’s Prediction: Douglas Williams

Eddie’s Thoughts: One of the bright spots in TNA over the past few months for me has been Douglas Williams and his character of “Mr. Wrestling” so to speak. It’s been a breath of fresh air and something different which I can’t see on WWE or other parts of Impact. Kazarian is a good opponent and this should be a great match! I hope they keep the feud going!
Eddie’s Prediction: Douglas Williams

TNA Knockouts Championship
Madison Rayne vs. Tara
If Tara loses, she will give up her career in TNA

Adam’s Thoughts: Well it’s public news that Tara is leaving the company so….
Adam’s Prediction: Rayne retains and Tara fights MMA.

Chad’s Thoughts: I think most of you know that Tara has decided to leave TNA, so this is a no brainer!
Chad’s Prediction: Madison Rayne Keeps Her Title!

Joe’s Thoughts: Tara is great and I wish that she could have come to an agreement with TNA to extend her contract. Unfortunately, she’s gone after this match so we know who the winner will be.
Joe’s Prediction: Madison Rayne

Eddie’s Thoughts: Well, it’s TNA! Thus after months of reports that Tara is leaving the company, it only makes sense she wins.
Eddie’s Prediction: Tara

Chelsea’s Services vs. Hall of Fame Ring
Desmond Wolfe vs. Abyss

Adam’s Thoughts: Abyss is leaning towards a heel turn. I see him and Bischoff turning heel together. A loss here would break his characters confidence opening the door for a heel turn.
Adam’s Prediction: Wolfe goes over but somehow Hogan gets involved and screws it up for Abyss.

Chad’s Thoughts: This feud is really getting good. After Desmond had Abyss arrested for allegedly hitting Chelsea, in which he set up, I think Abyss is going to take it to the extreme!
Chad’s Prediction: Abyss gets the bloody victory!

Joe’s Thoughts: Desmond Wolfe is quickly becoming one of the main reasons why I watch iMPACT! each week. His in-ring skills are second to none and the way he and Abyss have carried out this old-school-style feud has made for awesome television.
Joe’s Prediction: Desmond Wolfe gets the win, Ric Flair gets the ring

Eddie’s Thoughts: TNA is clearly the “second” company in wrestling today, behind WWE. One way to avoid being seen in that light is to stop bringing up things such as the Hall of Fame ring. It’s just so second-rate and takes the attention away from what really should be put over – TNA wrestlers and championship belts. Instead, we’re focusing on Ric Flair’s WWE career, and his Hall of Fame which means to him more than his stay at TNA, apparently. Terrible idea. Should be a decent match. Desmond Wolfe, who built a name for himself in ROH, deserves to be booked on top, as he’s obviously good and well-liked by TNA fans, as certain “ranking systems” show.
Eddie’s Prediction: Abyss

#1 Contender’s Match
Beer Money, Inc. vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D

Adam’s Thoughts: Beer money and Team 3D are due for a longer feud. The Band will have the titles for a awhile so that leave the MCMG.
Adam’s Prediction: MCMG wins.

Chad’s Thoughts: There isn’t another team in this business that I love more than the MCMG and anytime you see them in action, we are all winners. I am so tired of 3D!
Chad’s Prediction: MCMG all the way!

Joe’s Thoughts: The Motor City Machine Guns should win this match because they’re the best young tag team in professional wrestling today. However, I feel like Beer Money might have the upper hand because of their association with Team Flair. Team 3D is a bore – they should focus on training new talent and get off of the damn airwaves already.
Joe’s Prediction: Beer Money

Eddie’s Thoughts: I’m actually looking forward to this bout. It should be a fun mix of guys. Team 3D are a little old for my liking but still manage to bring something to the table. Beer Money are an entertaining team, and MCMG is probably still the top team in wrestling.
Eddie’s Prediction: Beer Money

Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett

Adam’s Thoughts: Should be a great story told here by two great veterans.
Adam’s Prediction: Sting wins.

Chad’s Thoughts: Sting has returned to his darker days and I like it! I am glad that he has been beating on Jarrett, it is going to make for a good match!
Chad’s Prediction: Sting by DQ

Joe’s Thoughts: This is another feud that has been fun to watch. I’m not really sure where they’re going to go with it because I get the impression that Eric Bischoff and his writing team are going to prolong this feud through the summer months.
Joe’s Prediction: Sting

Eddie’s Thoughts: I don’t know that I care for this match. If Jeff has a good night he can carry Sting to a good bout.
Eddie’s Prediction: Sting

Mr. Anderson vs. Jeff Hardy

Adam’s Thoughts: This should be hardcore and extreme. Pardon my cliches.
Adam’s Prediction: Mr. Anderson goes over big to start a nice winning streak for himself until Angle comes back.

Chad’s Thoughts: Jeff Hardy is always exciting to watch, but when you put him in with a great technical wrestler like Mr. Anderson, this match will go above our expectations.
Chad’s Prediction: Mr. Anderson for the win!

Joe’s Thoughts: Even though we’ve been getting a healthy dose of him since his re-return to TNA Wrestling a few months ago, I’m always down for more Jeff Hardy action. He’s a great entertainer and fun to watch. Same goes for Mr. Anderson. No matter who wins this match, the fans are going to love this one!
Joe’s Prediction: Mr. Anderson

Eddie’s Thoughts: Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy. Quite the character he is. Well, since his court date was moved yet again, this match WILL happen. I hope Jeff has his head set on straight and delivers. Anderson seems to be going strong so far, and I would assume he wins to keep the feud going.
Eddie’s Prediction: Mr. Anderson
