Spike TV announced the debut of another wrestling show beginning June 2 at 11 p.m., and it’s best described by using Monty Python’s “and now for something completely different.” It’s called “Half-Pint Brawlers” and yes, folks, it’s about the wonderful, but often ignored, world of midget wrestling.

It’s produced by Duke Straub and Jeff Guerriero and not Eric Bischoff, who also has a project (as yet without a network, nor affiliated with TNA) on the same subject called “Micro Championship Wrestling.”

Here’s a short recap (sorry) of the show and characters.

It’s like a reality show about the adventures and misadventures in and out of the ring of a group called “The Brawlers” touring the country. Their leader and founder is Puppet, who is joined by brothers Bobby and Kato, Mad Mexx, Turtle, Teo and their announcer, Spyder.

The show is set for six episodes and may bring back memories of the 1950s golden age when midget wrestling rose in popularity with stars like Sky Low Low, Lord Littlebrook, Little Beaver and Fuzzy Cupid.
