Predictions for Tonight’s TNA Lockdown Pay-Per-View
Added on Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at 12:36 pm to Opinion Columns by Joe Vincent

Welcome, everyone! Tonight, TNA Wrestling brings us its sixth annual Lockdown pay-per-view from the Family Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. There are nine big matches signed for the night – all of which will be battled inside of a steel cage.

As TNAStars.com strives to bring you the best TNA content on the internet, we hope that you enjoy the first of what will hopefully be monthly staff roundtables. This month, scroll down to read the staff’s TNA Lockdown pay-per-view predictions!

TNA Heavyweight Championship
Steel Cage Match
A.J. Styles vs. “The Pope” D’Angelo Dinero

Adam’s Thoughts: “The Pope” as world champ? I don’t think so.
Adam’s Prediction: AJ Styles pins the “The Pope” clean.

Chad’s Thoughts: I feel like there could have been more of a build up for this match. We saw much more of a storyline with Desmond Wolfe and The Pope.
Chad’s Prediction: AJ Styles will win this one by help from Flair or Wolfe.

Joe’s Thoughts: While the Hogan/Bischoff fueled-push has been great for the D’Angelo Dinero character and provided some great television spots, the company is banking on AJ Styles for the long-term success of the company.
Joe’s Prediction: AJ Styles wins with outside help

Lethal Lockdown
Team Hogan (Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam, & Jeff Hardy) vs. Team Flair (Sting, Desmond Wolfe, & Beer Money, Inc.)

Adam’s Thoughts: I am looking to see some interference and the debut of Tommy Dreamer in this match. It’s just a feeling I have.
Adam’s Prediction: Team Hogan wins this one.

Chad’s Thoughts: I am really looking forward to this match. We finally get to see all this great talent that TNA has in one ring.
Chad’s Prediction: I am going to go with Flair’s Team to win!

Joe’s Thoughts: This has been a great little build up – especially the seamless integration of Desmond Wolfe and Beer Money into the Let’s-Just-Announce-It-Already Flair-led stable. This match is going to be a lot of fun for TNA fans everywhere.
Joe’s Prediction: Hmmm… This one is tough because there are so many guys involved that it doesn’t matter which team wins, in particular. I’ll go with Team Flair.

Steel Cage Match
Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson

Adam’s Thoughts: Kurt Angle has posted on Twitter that he is taking time off. That’s just too easy for TNA. TNA is very in tune with the Internet so I look for a swerve here.
Adam’s Prediction: Angle wins just to throw the Internet marks off like me.

Chad’s Thoughts: What a great feud this has turned out to be. No matter who wins the fans are grateful to see a match of this caliber.
Chad’s Prediction: Kurt Angle for the win!

Joe’s Thoughts: This feud has been building since Mr. Anderson joined TNA a few months back. With Lockdown being one of TNA’s signature annual events, I’m looking for Kurt Angle to take the victory and put an end to this feud.
Joe’s Prediction: Kurt Angle via Submission

Steel Cage Match
Kevin Nash vs. Eric Young

Adam’s Thoughts: This match never should have been booked. TNA is pushing Eric Young too hard on us.
Adam’s Prediction: Nash will get the pin.

Chad’s Thoughts: I know no matter what that this match is going to call the whole Band out. This won’t be a fair one folks!
Chad’s Prediction: Kevin Nash wins this one!

Joe’s Thoughts: Expect to see the entire Band contingent beat the snot out of Eric Young. We all know how this one is going to end…
Joe’s Prediction: Kevin Nash obviously wins this one

Steel Cage Match
Kazarian vs. Shannon Moore vs. Douglas Williams

Adam’s Thoughts: Should be a great match.
Adam’s Prediction: Douglas Williams retains the title.

Chad’s Thoughts: I am a huge fan of TNA’s X Division and can’t wait to see these men compete. These 3 men could truly be the future of TNA. I am a huge fan of Shannon Moore!
Chad’s Prediction: Shannon Moore is my favorite to win!

Joe’s Thoughts: It’s probably too early to give Shannon Moore the belt, but as a big fan of Moore and a fellow reader of the Book of D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F., I’m hoping that he puts on the type of performance that we know he is capable of putting on.
Joe’s Prediction: I like Shannon Moore, but my gut is making me bet on Douglas Williams, so I’m going with Williams.

Steel Cage Match
Team 3D vs. Scott Hall & Syxx-Pac

Adam’s Thoughts: This may be hard to watch.
Adam’s Prediction: Scott Hall and Syxx Pac win this one.

Chad’s Thoughts: I think this is another match where we are going to see the rebirth of The Band. Expect to see Kevin Nash make his presence felt.
Chad’s Prediction: Scott Hall & Syxx-Pac take the victory!

Joe’s Thoughts: I don’t like Team 3D as wrestlers or entertainers. They’re too much and too annoying so, since I think The Band will do a group beat down here, I’m probably going to enjoy watching this one.
Joe’s Prediction: The Band wins this one

TNA Knockouts Championship
TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship
Steel Cage Match
The Beautiful People vs. Angelina Love & Tara

Adam’s Thoughts: This match is way too confusing for a knockouts match.
Adam’s Prediction: ????

Chad’s Thoughts: The feud between Angelina Love and the Beautiful People have really heated up and I think it will finally got to a halt at Lockdown.
Chad’s Prediction: I am giving this one to Angelina Love and Tara!

Joe’s Thoughts: The TNA Knockouts rock! Is there anything hotter than sexy girls that can kick your ass? I love it. As far as this feud goes, I expect it to continue beyond this pay-per-view.
Joe’s Prediction: Angelina Love & Tara

Lethal Lockdown Advantage Match
Steel Cage Match
James Storm vs. Rob Van Dam

Adam’s Thoughts: Flair’s team will need the advantage going into this one.
Adam’s Prediction: James Storm winner

Chad’s Thoughts: With both of them having another match later in the evening. I am sure this match is only going to add fuel to the fire of an already heated situation.
Chad’s Prediction: Rob Van Dam wins!

Joe’s Thoughts: Seems to me like this is a bit of a weird addition to the card. Couldn’t they just have an official “coin flipping” or something backstage and save 5 – 10 minutes? It works for the SuperBowl…
Joe’s Prediction: Since I think Team Flair is going to win the big one, I’m going with Team Hogan on the early match. Rob Van Dam pins to win.

Steel Cage Match
Brian Kendrick & Homicide vs. Motor City Machine Guns

Adam’s Thoughts:
Adam’s Prediction: MMG

Chad’s Thoughts: I am going to go with the MCMG for the win. These guys are one of the main reasons I switched to TNA, the talent and action that they bring to the ring each and every time they wrestle, still amazes me.
Chad’s Prediction: Motor City Machine Guns

Joe’s Thoughts: Honestly, I didn’t even know this match was booked until I read Adam’s predictions! I love the Motor City Machine Guns and any time I can have the privilege of watching them wrestle, I’m happy.
Joe’s Prediction: Motor City Machine Guns, baby!
