Bits and Pieces of Mick Foley’s Lost Blog Entry

TNA wrestler Mick Foley says he’ll be off TV at least for a while after his “Loser Leaves Town” match against Jeff Jarrett on Monday night, which he says will allow other wrestlers a chance to get TV time.

Foley posted his weekly blog on TNA’s website and covered a number of pertinent subjects worth reading.

“I really don’t know what the future holds for me, but I accept that every match I have could be my last, as the recovery time needed after any match of substance is probably more than it should be,” Foley said. “I do hope to be back, and eventually, I think I’ll find a creative way to do it.”

Foley also suggested he’s taking the high road as a “non-wrestling talent” taking himself off TV while other non-wrestlers like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, and Eric Bischoff are on TV.

“I also know that there is only so much room on the roster for a guy who is primarily a non-wrestler – especially since there are three other guys (Hulk, Flair, E.B) who also fit that bill,” Foley said. “Those guys are all incredibly talented, and have so much to offer, and, unlike me, haven’t been on TNA weekly for the past year and a half. So maybe it’s only right that some of the TV time that I’ve taken up should go not only to newer guys on the roster, but to guys who are either in the prime of their careers, or on the way up.”

Foley talked about the angle on Impact where he bloodied Bubba the Love Sponge as he was “leaving town” following the scripted loss to Jeff Jarrett. Foley said he apologized to Bubba on Tuesday after hearing about the damage he inflicted to Bubba’s nose.

“I know some people will claim I hit him on purpose because of the Awesome Kong incident, but that is not the case. I spoke to Bubba the day after that deal, and told him how I felt about it, then had a chance to discuss it on Bubba’s show and write about it on TNA’s website,” Foley said. “So as far as I am concerned, there was no problem.”

Foley will be in Phoenix during WrestleMania weekend for a comedy show on Saturday night with Ring of Honor wrestler Colt Cabana. Foley talked up ROH and said he will be attending the promotion’s Saturday afternoon show before his night-time comedy gig at Arizona St. University.

“I don’t think too many people know this, but I have remained good friend with Ring of Honor owner Cary Silkin since my short stint in ROH several years ago,” Foley said”. ROH is helping us out with this show by making sure that anyone who mentions the letters ROH when booking tickets for our comedy show gets a 15 percent discount.”
