I read a report online yesterday that said the following:
According to inside sources, Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan of TNA only want TNA’s two biggest pay-per-view events, Bound for Glory and Slammiversary, to take place outside of the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.
The feeling is that when they hold a show outside of Orlando and they don’t sell out the arena, it makes them look like a minor league promotion. Additionally, it will save the company money by holding more events in-house.
It should be noted that this was the case last year well before Hogan and Bischoff ever came to the scene as well, but the two seem to confirm the sentiment.
I am unsure as to whether this report is legitimate as there have been public rumblings lately about getting out of the iMPACT! Zone to have a larger audience on hand for the performers.
