For tonight’s Genesis pay-per-view, TNA has opted to change the layout of the iMPACT! Zone by extending the walkway from the locker room all the way to the ring. Some of you may remember that the NWA, the old WWF, WCW, and the old ECW used to utilize a similar set up during their “major” events.
PW News Now is reporting that the Genesis pay-per-view opened with Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff stating the following:
Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff opened the TNA Genesis pay per view by welcoming everybody to the new look of Impact Zone. The crowd met the welcome with VERY mixed reactions. Chants of “we want six sides” filled the arena, prompting Hogan to go off script and shoot from the heart. “You had it and it only got you so far,” Hogan said. “Now we’re taking you all the way, jack. No more stinking play pen rings. “We’re changing it whether you like it or not.” Eric Bischoff echoed his sentiments. “Get used to change because there is a hell of a lot more headed your way,” he said.
